Didn't suit our dog.
Our dog is 30lbs with short legs (probably has a corgi in it). Bought a gate to keep them in the common room when we went out. I couldn't keep it, so I bought an extension cord. As you can see in this video (I left my webcam on when we got out) she was able to climb over them. The gate is not very well made (pieces didn't fit together), width adjustment was difficult and the extension was roughly attached to the gate. It has to be really strong so the dog can't grab it and climb over it.
