For years I've been trying to make small craft videos. When I first saw this stand I thought it might be the answer to my problems, but the cost made me cringe a little. That's why for the past few years I've bought cheap flexible phone holders and extendable mounts that clip to the edge of my desk. I bought a regular tripod and small flexible tripods that can be placed anywhere. Nothing worked for me. Last week I finally decided to just buy the Arkon Remarkable Creators Phone and Tablet Stand Kit. Now I'm so mad at myself for waiting so long and spending double the money on all of these "cheaper" options. That's great! This allows me to shoot directly above my work surface without restricting my movement or taking up much space. The fact that it also includes my iPad is amazing as I can use it with either Switcher Studio to record or display instructions or artistic inspiration as I work. I use a counterweight on the base but it doesn't interfere with my workspace at all. I might not even need it, but I don't want to risk dropping my new iPhone 11. If like me you think this seems perfect but feel like you need to try the "budget" version. buy this stand. It's definitely worth the price.
