This pillow is amazing! I have two to replace the "extras" I had on my bed behind the throw pillows. I have another pillow that I sleep on every night, it's a hard gel memory foam that my head sinks into perfectly. I wanted fluffier, fuller pillows but still wanted soft memory foam and this is PERFECT. The fact that you can remove the foam to adjust them to the fullness you want is incredibly helpful. This is exactly what I wanted - fluffy and full, but still warm with an "immersion feel". They are perfect for use on the couch when I want more support and fullness than my memory foam pillow provides. They also look great on my bed behind the throw pillows. All in all I love the pillows. I don't know if I would be happy with one if I had to use it as a main pillow to support my head at night as I would have to remove a huge amount of foam to make it flat enough not to bother my neck due to the can lack of density produce a bumpy/uneven surface. . But without trying it, I can't say for sure if it doesn't work well. However, I love pillows. For my purpose they are perfect! As for smell, the smell is noticeable at first, as is usually the case with memory foam, but I removed the outer pillowcases and washed them, allowing the pieces of memory foam to air out in a thin inner bag during the day. After trying on the pillows with freshly washed pillowcases and replacing the pillowcases, there was no smell.
