Material of the brake pads was defective
The brake pads fit my 2009 Pontiac G8 GT but after about 21,000 miles the brake pads started to come loose from their bearings and I had to replace them all. When I removed the brake pads, some pad material (parts of the pad itself) was missing. Maybe I've got a bad set, but it's happened to both the front and rear pads, so I don't know.
