My wife wanted to use this fan on her upcoming visit to Las Vegas in August. It seemed like the perfect accessory for walking between buildings in over 100 degrees. The package arrived a few weeks ago and she turned it on a couple of times and was duly impressed. Back in the box and lay there until yesterday. On a trip to the zoo in 35-degree temperatures, she decided to try it. It worked out great and she was looking forward to the upcoming trip. Today she pressed the "on" button. and nothing. She charged it fully and tried again. Nothing yet. Again and again we both tried to charge and press the buttons. Nothing. No fan movement; no light; Nothing. My wife is understandably upset about this. She desperately wants this thing to work, but it doesn't. Trying to claim the $14 guarantee seems impossible but doing nothing. This is a great idea and based on the reviews you have a 50/50 chance of getting a good or bad item. A good one will likely work for a long time, and a bad one will fail fairly quickly. So do you have a chance? I can not answer that. Like some of the other reviewers, I'd like one to work, but I'm not going to order twenty of them just to try a good one. I'll think before I try a second time.
