In my 20 years as a hobby photographer I've never had a real lighting setup. I was really put off by the price of high tech devices and the low quality of budget items. Well these shelves are perfect for my needs. They are much stronger than black thin aluminum coasters that fall from mouse farts. They're not very light, but they don't have to be! You're not traveling through the Himalayas with your gear, so you don't have to worry about how heavy they are. I can easily use a monoblock stand and the other reflector. You look damn good too.
