***Update on "Faulty": Gunnar told me the AR coating is the same as amber lenses. They think it has a lot to do with how the frames sit on a person's face, but I haven't heard if they've figured out a way to know if it affects you that way or not. I'm trying to try a different frame style. *** I have purchased Gunnar Optiks RIO-00109 Riot Computer Glasses with Liquet Lenses, Blue Light Blocking, Anti-Glare, Minimize Digital Eye Strain, Prevent Headaches, Reduce Eye Fatigue & Improve Sleep, Onyx/Liquet and an issue with ghosting has been resolved . You can see it when you look into the lenses out of the corner of your eye, but when you're focused on your task, it's perfect. Maybe give them a try if you have a big head. They're also farther from my eyes, which fortunately means the lenses need cleaning a lot less often. The more time I spend with this product, the less upset I get about it. Yes, it does seem to reduce eye strain, but the halo effect and weird ghost shift REALLY bothered me. I have a feeling this must be a lack at this point. During long gaming sessions (6-8 hours), this eliminates eye fatigue and uncontrolled tears. I tested this by doing a gaming session until my eyes got tired and my eyes got to the point where they started watering uncontrollably, put these guys in and immediately the tears stopped and I felt mine eyes relaxed. I played comfortably for another 3 hours and then did homework and researched on the computer for another 4 hours (I sat up all night). Good qualities: - Fits me well (eye strain). - Frames feel comfortable and light. - Ideal for wide faces! -35% is a great blocking percentage for me as I usually work in low light conditions. (65%, yellow lenses actually caused my eyestrain). The bad: - I'm not sure if the lenses are defective or if it's the price of a coating. There is a halo around the lights as if the lenses were stained. This is also evident after a good brushing. They're no longer wearable at night (not what they're marketed for, but I'd love if they helped reduce glare at night.) - (Possible defect?) When you sit in front of a computer screen, you see blue identikit. slightly different than what you're looking at, especially in white lettering on a black background. If possible I'll attach a photo. This reminds me of the distortion that can occur when two panes of glass are placed on top of each other. The circle in the middle is my camera lens reflected in the lens. You can bring the two images together by tilting your head about 80° and turning your head slightly to the left, yeah that's weird. - Just like the previous pair I had, these lenses get dirty very quickly; You can't just use the cleaning cloth included in the kit, so be prepared to clean them frequently.
