This is spot on if you read whats included and pay attention to the photos. If you've got a 6-10yr old that is crafty and wants to stick a unicorn horn on everything they meet this kit is for you. If you've got a more advanced crafter or mythical includes things beyond a unicorn horn I'd look elsewhere. The kit quality is exactly what I expected for a sub$20 kit, good but not great. You aren't making heirlooms here, just a car travel craft set or something for a raining afternoon.

My granddaughter and I are craftys at heart. I ordered this for her but she gifted it to her BFF because she said she felt this kit was too "easy" for her and her. She has graduated to a sewing machine. None the less, this a cute kit for any beginner. It comes with the instruction booklet, threat, pins, needles (real ones), felt, canvas fabric, elastic, buttons and a measuring tape. We love Craftastic products.

An 8 year old LOVED this and completed the first piece in under five minutes, which gave an instant feeling of success and capability.

This had a long, sharp needle and is definitely not a good item for a five year old child. Kept it because it was so inexpensive, but will not recommend.

Adult supervision required. We used a glue gun after reading all of the reviews on the tape being a problem. . I’d say if the artist isn’t old enough to read the directions then maybe they are too young for this craft set, especially if no adult is there to help.
