Great kit for kids - my new review

My girls love this line of kits. This is our third, and I love that you have everything needed for the crafting, plus great and detailed instructions. My 9-years old, does it (almost) all by herself. My 6-years olds need some help here and there, but enjoy the process and the the results.

Pros
  • HIGH QUALITY REUSABLE MATERIALS: Kit includes items they will keep and use again; like a measuring tape, pins, and needles.
Cons
  • May not include enough variety in projects for some children

Fun for kids for my opinion

This kit has enough supplies to do 6 different crafts. The instructions are clear and easy to follow for adults and kids. I did this kit with my 5 year old and she has a lot of fun with it. Some of the double-sided tape doesn't really work, so I used hot glue instead at times. I put up pictures of the Llama-corn before and after. This is a stuffed animal craft, and my daughter's favorite. It took maybe 20 minutes to do. The longest part was just teaching her how to stitch. It looks really cute.

Pros
  • 12.8 ounces
Cons
  • May not include projects that appeal to boys or gender non-conforming children

Many projects, one box

Nice to find a crafting set that had many small projects that are easy and fun.A few require adult help(you need an iron) so if you’re hoping for something that is just for kids this one isn’t for you.

Pros
  • This was a gift for my little sister and she loves it. Easy to use for her.
Cons
  • Some children may lose interest in the projects quickly

Chintzy Product Worth 1/4 the price

This was okay entertainment for my girls ages 7 and 10, however, some of the supplies didn’t work (double sided tape) and the over all quality is pretty poor. The instruction booklet had some typos as well. save your money on this one.

Pros
  • Needlework
Cons
  • Some projects may be too advanced for some children

Missing pieces best in my review

I am missing parts in order to complete 4 of the 6 projects. I would like to receive the missing items. I enjoyed the two I could finish.

Pros
  • PERFECT PRESENT TO TEACH LIFE SKILLS: Craft projects will teach kids how to sew a running stitch, blanket stitch, whip stitch, and how to decorate with embroidery. kids will learn life skills they can use again and again on future projects.
Cons
  • Could be difficult for children with visual impairments

Cute, colorful and a great place to start!

Great way to get a child interested in sewing. It is a bit overpriced and you could probably get all these supplies for less than half the price. However, it’s cute and colorful and a great place to start!

Pros
  • COMPLETE ARTS & CRAFTS KIT: Comes with everything you need to get started!
Cons
  • Could lead to comparison and competition among children

This was a gift for my 8 year old, and it is awesome. The packaging is beautiful, the instructions are easy to follow and the quality is amazing.

Pros
  • This was Christmas gift for my 7 year old granddaughter
Cons
  • Instructions may not be detailed enough for some children

Cute not enough double tape

Cute 5year old could do most of the activities but the tape that comes with the kit is not enough and hard to peel. Could be dangerous if children use scissors or needles improperly.

Pros
  • Craft-tastic Let's Learn to Sew
Cons
  • Could be dangerous if children use scissors or needles improperly

Great to encourage creativity.

Used this kit with my 7 year-old granddaughter. She loves to sew. She had already learned a basic stitch and was able to make the elephant immediately. This comes with most of the materials you need. I say most because she decorated hers with fabric markers which were not included. It was super cute and she loved the finished project. You have to draw out the things you want to make. There are patterns for small shapes to cut from felt. Some brightly colored buttons are included. Embroidery…

Pros
  • gift for granddaugher, she love it,
Cons
  • May be too expensive for some families

Acceptable for my opinion

Was a really nice gift. Came to my house without any box, just a packing slip put on top of the box. I wont but this again but it was worth the one time buy.

Pros
  • Embroidery
Cons
  • May require a lot of patience and repetition for beginners

Perfect for beginners

Perfect starter for a beginner seamstress. Cute projects, easy to understand instructions and easy to assemble. My daughter really enjoyed it.

Pros
  • Creative, simple my granddaughter loved it
Cons
  • Supplies may run out quickly, requiring additional purchases

Projects easily fall apart

Really wanted to like this kit. We are a crafting family and bought this as a gift for one of my kids. However, the kit is far from ideal. For example, with the felt projects (the sloths and the llama) the instructions stated that the felt material is attached to foam or more felt with double-sided sticky tape and then to press a hot iron on the material to make it adhere. That did not work. I had to end up hand stitching most of the projects to make them not fall apart. I would not recommend…

Pros
  • Bought as a Christmas gift for my niece
Cons
  • Could pose a choking hazard for young children

Shipping Quality on my review.

Ordered as Xmas gift. Box delivered opened with shipping label on actual product box and box was written on. Please do better than that. Come on now. It’s Christmas folks!

Pros
  • directions were confusing not really easy for a 10 year old
Cons
  • Could lead to frustration if projects don't turn out as expected

Kinda like it: my feedback

Finished only 4 out of the 6 projects you cloud make with this set. Wasn't really fun and the kids didn't enjoy it as much as I thought they would.

Pros
  • Excellent
Cons
  • May be difficult to use for left-handed children

My daughter loved it

We gave this to our 8-year-old daughter for Christmas. She loved it! Started playing with it right away. Her 13-year-old brother even helped her with some of the projects.

Pros
  • EASY-TO-FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS: A 34 page full-color instruction booklet uses fun and age-appropriate projects to teach kids the sewing basics and graduate them through more advanced techniques.
Cons
  • Could be frustrating for children who are perfectionists

Craft Happy Girls - my new review

We have a few girls in our family that are craft happy. The kits from this company are great and this particular kit is on trend with the animal choices or a sloth, panda, llama, mermaid, etc. all turned into fantastical unicorns. So it's funny to them, too. The crafts take some time to make and skill but not enough to be frustrating. Mostly they take some time which is good. At least a few hours of entertainment and skills can be obtained for the price of the kit. I like that the instructions…

Pros
  • Let's Learn to Sew Craft Kit
Cons
  • Could require additional tools not included in the kit, such as a thimble or seam ripper

Craft-tasting!: my feedback

Bought this as a gift for 9 year old granddaughter-she loved it! The instructions were easy to follow, crafts were fun to make. She was so excited about trying everything that she completed all the projects in an afternoon!

Pros
  • Love that everything was included, great gift for my niece
Cons
  • May require additional supplies not included in the kit

Good starter kit, quality materials.

Good product. The book and included patterns are a great starter kit to help my 6-year old get started. At this age, she requires someone to complete the activities with her, but she is very excited and enjoys it very much.

Pros
  • Gave it to my niece as a Christmas gift. She can't wait to start doing it.
Cons
  • Instructions may be confusing for younger children

Recommended for ages 6-10

My 12 year old daughter opened up this kit and was able to go through all the projects in an afternoon. She liked it but said she thought she was too old and that it would be best for younger kids. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The projects were cute. I think it would make a great gift for someone that is around 6-10 years old. It really is geared towards kids that haven't been sewing yet and tends to be boring for kids with sewing experience.

Pros
  • Perfect for beginners.
Cons
  • May not include projects that appeal to all children's interests
