Review on ACDelco 177 0972 Original Equipment Front by Jon Dugan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

NOT as shown. Made in China.

The rotors I received from a Revain affiliated supplier (not Revain) came in GM boxes with matching part numbers on the boxes. Both rotors were the same. Both rotors differ from the photo on the Revain page (as of today, 08/12/21). The photo on the Revain page shows a composite rotor, a cast iron braking surface molded around a stamped steel center where the hub and protruding studs sit. pierce. The rotors I received are all cast iron, including the center section. There is some black paint in the center and on the outer edge. I did not expect that a part advertised as "a GM recommended replacement part for the original factory component of your GM vehicle" would be made in communist China; or have a different design. The cast iron center is thicker than the stamped steel center, so the bolt protrusion is about an eighth of an inch less. It does not matter. Overall I'm disappointed but not too disappointed. I expect them to work fine.
