This was the best jacket for my 5 lb Yorkie to have fun in 2 feet of snow! It looks like a human jacket - it's too hot in the room so you have to take it off inside. If he doesn't have a jacket, his fur gets wet and he freezes. This adorable down jacket kept her fur and legs dry all the time and didn't even shake in 5 degrees Fahrenheit. Excuse his messy hair, he had fun running through the tunnels we cleared or just "floating" through the snow with his two front paws - see photo. Thanks to this jacket, we didn't have the usual 30 minutes or an hour he had to thaw chunks of snow off his fur around the house. The size runs slightly small, so if you're between sizes, choose one size up. I used the size chart and it fit perfectly but there was no room for a sweater underneath. To be honest, it was so thick and warm that it didn't need to be layered like his other winter wear, the sweater combo. and a water-repellent layer. This jacket gets wet from the snow (despite being waterproof and wipeable) but dries very quickly. Next time we have to go outside, it's always dry. I have a problem with my male dog urinating on clothes but this jacket was perfect for peeing and pooping to avoid stepping on it. Inexpensive and very warm!
