Wow it's big - camping & hiking

We bought this for canoe camping hoping it would be a more compact and portable version of our trusty green twin burner. It's an aspect, but wow, it's a lot more than meets the eye. It's only suitable for stretching a dry bag to fit a 40L size, so it's quite large. On our first trip we used it with a cast iron casserole and it sits there like our home oven. This is not a pocket sized gas burner, this is a full size camping burner. The only thing I have is that it is very sensitive to low heat. You type it over and over again and then it turns off. Remove the pan, relight and try again. I wish there was a stop before shutting down on the dial, but other than that it made cowboy coffee and a hot dish in a Dutch oven in the morning. It burned a bit on a hot dish because we couldn't adjust the burner the way we wanted, but it was nice not having to carry our large double burner around.
