The bend is not smooth enough to push through a tight wire without opening it. Then, when you had to do that, the stupid old-fashioned screw heads with shallow slots for the blades that the screwdriver slipped out of every half turn were ridiculous. Why the heck don't they use Phillips head screws, it just amazes me that these installers could save half their time and make more money if they did.
