Not for active older children

I bought these shoes for my 10 year old as he has to wear black shoes with a uniform. Twice a week he goes to the gym in black sneakers. He's active during the break, and lo and behold, he's already scratched one of them permanently (too white) in a sock. All it took was a sweep of the tarmac. We are in our third full week of school.
