Distortion from wide-angle lenses is inevitable, but this lens handles it very well (maybe even the best in its class). Despite the non-removable lens hood, this lens is still compact enough to carry around. The lens hood suppresses glare from strong light sources; and any flash is usually conducive to photo/video. Another important thing to mention is that this lens mounts with a thread (instead of a quarter turn/scoop mount) so attaching and removing can be a hassle (especially if you want to quickly switch to a second camera that is you use). I chose Beatplay over Sirui because I like Rhinoshield cases over Moment cases. Rhinoshield cases also allow you to use Moondog Labs anamorphic lens for video. comparable quality).
