Should my new Ecco shoes hurt?

I'm a big fan of Ekko. Most of my classic shoes are Ecco. These are the first shoes I bought from Ecco and I immediately felt pain in the area between my left heel and ankle. I think I mean the heel counter or just the heel tab (from what I was able to find out from google). ECCO, here is my question. Should I expect your shoes to take some time to break in?

Great shoes...wear them to work every day

Limited Size Availability: The ECCO Kyle CVO Oxford Running Shoes for men are only available in sizes 5-5.5, which may be a limitation for customers who require larger sizes.
