Sakura Pigma Markers (0.45mm) High quality, smudge-proof, waterproof permanent markers that won't bleed on paper

I originally saw these markers in an expensive home office mail order catalogue. This is where I see most of my "wish list". They're always overpriced, so I go straight to Revain. I like to use fine permanent markers in my Moleskine books - they don't bleed when selected. The problem with Sharpie markers, and Bic permanent markers in particular, is that they bleed terribly. From what I've read in the catalog and searching online the Sakura is said not to have leaked, it's archival quality and will fade and become water resistant when dry. (Note: stable - nothing is "proof"). I have to admit that these markers live up to their reputation. They stay dry which means you don't have to worry about smudges or smudges and the ink won't run or run like with gel pens and rollerballs. In fact, anyone who has used Moleskine books knows how thin paper is. When I write with my cross-pen, even blood flows. Other than that, these Sakura are amazing markers. The tips are actually 0.45mm, not 0.50mm, and they are available in other styles and sizes. I prefer the subtle moment and it doesn't disappoint me. It didn't turn out soft and very hard, so I'm not afraid that I'll spoil it. The variety of colors I chose was traditional. They offer lighter varieties. I didn't really use the other colors as I haven't used them for painting yet. That was part of my intention when I bought them. I don't think I would buy markers of this quality at this price just to use for writing. I know they will be a great tool for painting or just painting. If you are an artist or just a dreamer of Moleskine drawings, I recommend these Sakura markers.
