Instructions are really difficult to understand and poorly written. It was very difficult to put together and I've done others before so I'm not. The plastic pieces kept bouncing off so the top shelf wouldn't stay. I almost returned the product but I liked the quality of the metal and really needed something like this. Lastly I used clear plastic tape to tape the top plastic pieces to it because they kept bouncing and not sticking to the top shelf. After doing this, it was able to support the weight of my Ninja blender and a small cup Keurig Type 1 coffee maker. The shelf is narrow, but I put a piece of wood under the units to keep them from falling. Without tape, I definitely wouldn't trust those plastic pieces to hold the shelf up!
