Review on Sargent Art 90 4001 9X12 Inch Canvas by Jennifer Roberts

These "paper" canvases are just right for working with small paintings in a limited space or developing concepts for a larger painting. I've used them successfully with acrylic and oil paints without noticing much of a difference to working on stretched canvas in terms of actual texture or ability to absorb paint. The only problem I have is the excess glue sticking the canvases to the back panel and top sheet. Removing up to an inch of adhesive from the back of a canvas can damage the canvas underneath, making some of them come out 8x9 or 8x8 instead of 8x10, so damaged it's reduced my usable space. The price is excellent for the quality and I have really enjoyed using them and plan to order more as my stock of new designs is running low. For a student, hobbyist or even a professional this would be a good buy.
