I have very specific job requirements and so far so good. It took me some time to set up the mobile terminal (which I call MT for short). I might save someone some time by sharing a few thoughts with you. If you're buying this with a grip and trigger, there are a few things to keep in mind. The handle has its own battery and acts as an extra battery for the MT by pressing the button on the bottom of the handle twice. The trigger was NOT activated by default on arrival. It needs to be enabled in the Scan Settings menu, which can be found along with other basic settings, but DO NOT look for it in the Settings search bar. You won't find it. You have to scroll to get there. (It took me a while to figure that out). There were no instructions for the device so you are on your own. Luckily, most things are intuitive to anyone who has ever used an Android phone. Via the action character option, which is an optional character sent after scanning (such as a carriage return or the Enter key). If you're using a remote desktop app that uses the tab key instead of typing to navigate between fields, you should be aware that Android keyboards typically don't have a tab key and many Android apps, including the MS RD clients for Android don't seem to support the key.tabs. Luckily that's not a problem for me. Looks like MT has good hardware. The processor is definitely fast enough and the device feels solid. Let's see, will it stand the test of time. The MT has great battery life, especially with the added power of the grip. I bought the upgraded version of Honeywell mainly because I have always preferred Honeywell scanners to others and Honeywell has not disappointed me. 2D barcode scanning is pretty fast, which was one of my requirements. Basically I'm satisfied so far.
