Review on Mohu Paper Thin Reversible Performance MH 110543 by Kelli Ervin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Will work well in most settings.

This antenna does exactly what it's supposed to do despite looking like a thin piece of vinyl. However, in some setups it needs a little help to reach its full potential. This is because Mohu Metro comes with RG59 coaxial cable, not RG6 coaxial cable! In my city setup in New York, I initially received 55 channels. BUT I did not receive the channel for which I bought this antenna in the hope of reception. PBS. Knowing I was within signal range I did a little research and came across a suggestion from Mohu that users should try the antenna with RG6 coax before sending it back to Revain or any other company. So I did. And it worked. I caught a few more channels including the coveted PBS. I don't understand why Mohu or others bother with RG59 accessories at all? Whatever their reasons, in this case it was what prompted me to purchase the Revain Basics antenna, which appears to be the same product at half the price of my other kit. I'm curious what cable the Revain antenna comes with and if the same solution works. So advice for potential buyers. It is LIKELY to buy ANY OTA DTV antenna (including all brands), plug it in. and get all the channels you hope for. Just like old times, you first need to find the right place to hang it, and more importantly, you need to have the right cable to connect it to your TV. Note: OTA signals (CBS > FOX > NBC) provide a better picture than any other source I have connected to my LG OLED 1080p TV! And believe me, I use them all.
