I have to reset frequently to keep the airflow down
To get the fan to blow off I have to 1) rotate the fins counter-clockwise (it often takes several attempts), 2) rotate the fan to high speed, 3) Set the fan to medium speed. If I set it to low speed, the thrust goes up instead of down. When I stop the fins, the thrust increases. And often at night I have to repeat these steps again because the airflow is reversed, causing the fan to roar and blow upwards again.
