Its length is much shorter than I expected. It's under the lower lip, not under the chin. It takes a little getting used to, but if you have to wear a mask for a long time, you will see the benefits. This allows you to breathe easier and speak more clearly. This prevents the mask from getting into the mouth, which can easily happen when breathing through the mouth. This prevents the mask from getting wet from sweat. However, the edge of the mount gets wet from the heat in the mask, so you'll need to rinse and dry it regularly. Before I put the orthosis on, I noticed that my throat hurt a little and my mouth felt like I had a cotton swab. I believe it was caused by vacuuming the lint from the mask. The clamp resolved both throat irritation and cotton mouth problems. I highly recommend this if you need to wear a mask for more than an hour at a time.
