I compared this to the Stanley tape measure I have. This handyman's body is certainly different, but the tape measure layout, fonts, markings, and feel are nearly identical to my Stanley tape measure. I literally compared side by side and was blown away by how similar they are. This Craftsman is essentially the same tape measure as the Stanley with the following differences: 1) The end hook is different. 2) The master uses a white background on the tape (Stanley has a yellow one). 3) Product branding is of course different. It really is. In use, the two bands behave almost identically. Now for the "bad" news: Having both a Stanley band and this Craftsman band for comparison, I hooked both to a flat metal edge and lengthened both by over 4 feet. At the 4 foot mark the two tape measures were about 1/8 inch apart! So I don't know which one is gone? Stanley is too long? Or is craftsman too short? In any case where accuracy at long distances is not critical or relative measurements are acceptable, this is an adequate tape measure, almost identical to the Stanley.
