My fiance is very happy with these. When she leaves her hair down, she likes to have a ponytail holder handy in case she wants to raise her hair, but she doesn't like the pressure and dent it leaves around her wrist. She uses thicker goody elastics which fit well on this bracelet and look great. She had no problem with the elastic straps slipping off and they can be squeezed to tighten around the wrist, but they will likely be too big for small wrists. It's quite a pretty piece of jewelry, and sometimes she even wears it without the elastic. According to her suggestion: Brown rubber bands look great with rose gold, while black ones go better with silver.
