, I've tried tons of metal shears over the years in roofing. A typical point of failure is a pivot point. The hinge is a replaceable screw that seems pretty stiff. I tried the usual stupid thing people did to my scissors to break them and they held (cutting stainless steel or thick steel). They don't cut any better than others, I'm just satisfied with their solid construction. I like the overall quality and the simple construction. Good left and right tracking for cuts. No problem with 24 gauge roofs.
