Glitter washes off easily
I only bought shoes for one occasion, a wedding, but at the end of the night I'll say we all wore sequins because the shoes were so easy to wash. You can also see areas of the shoe that were no longer shiny by the end of the night. The entire event lasted four hours or less, and they got sick of it that quickly.
