Aside from the armpit length, this uniform fits our 7 and 8 year old girls as expected. My little girl is just under 4ft tall and weighs about 40lbs and her small size is almost to her knees but she is breathing and able to move around while playing in it. I ordered 5 small, 1 medium and 1 large and they all fit each girl's size. We used Paper Studio Sports vinyl for the design and it fits perfectly. Worn for 2 games and washed 3 times in the washing machine, all fine. I would buy again.
