I bought 2 of these in January 2019 for almost 3x the price today. This shows how technology prices always fall. It is used with the 2016 and 2018 Mac Book Pro as Apple removed the USB and card reader ports common on earlier models. I feel like Apple made a mistake by removing these ports and slots as buying an accessory to keep it compliant and support my older hardware is a hassle. With a single USB-C connection to a MacBook Pro, I can now recover all the lost functionality that Apple designers glued to the curb. It has an HDMI 4K port, 3 USB ports, a USB-C data port, a Micro SD port and an SD port. When I bought it in January 2019 it was the only model with all those ports AND a 100W power port. The power supply is important because Apple only provides 2 USB-C ports and one of them must be used for the Apple Powerbank. You can now connect an Apple power bank to the Joysae PD port, saving you a port on your Mac Book Pro. This review is unique in that Revain sent me this product to review last week even though I bought 2 of them. in January. I can submit a review for 6 months. and I am happy to say that it works great. Wherever your laptop goes, this Joysae adapter goes with it. I have a USB IR mouse connected to one of the ports, I often connect my MacBook to my TV to stream movies and often use an SD card reader to transfer photos from the camera. I didn't use the Joysae's power connector because I just don't want to put too much strain on it - it's just that I'm too careful with my expensive stuff. Summary. While I feel like Apple mistreated customers by removing those import ports and card readers, Joysae quickly came to the rescue with this amazing USB-C adapter. I consider it an essential accessory for any Mac Book Pro. And now that it's 66% cheaper than it was in January 2019, it's amazing value.
