Excellent Camera - G9

After extensive use of the following cameras (at least 3 months each): D850, 5DSR, A7Rii, Pentax K1, Sigma SDH, Olympus Pen F, Sony NEX7, D3X and 1Ds III , here is the verdict . The Panasonic G9 is possibly the best in terms of system responsiveness, ergonomics, camera design with button layout, autofocus speed and electronic viewfinder, despite being one of the newest. Among the 20- to 24-megapixel cameras, the G9 is the most efficient when it comes to utilizing the total number of pixels to demonstrate resolution when choosing a good lens. Compared to all cameras >40 MP without >3x zoom you will not notice any difference in terms of resolution. As well as the above virtues, the G9 is also the go-to camera for any camera collector if you're concerned that MFT cameras are going away for the foreseeable future. The G9 has flaws. The menu system needs an update with a more logical design. For example, My Menu wouldn't be useful if it wasn't easy and convenient to use. The G9 user manual (in English) can be one of the worst, as it often omits steps when introducing some new features (e.g. high-resolution mode). For landscape photography, the best lens for the G9 is the Olympus 12-40mm F2.8 rather than the Panasonic/Leica 12-60mm F2.8-4, with the former having the best optical quality apart from the loss in optical stability.
