I often have to travel to one of the highest cities in South America and from there to a much lower tropical community. Anything that leaks and explodes I've been so used to in my whole life on this and similar tracks that EVERYTHING - from liquids diluted with water to something very viscous, for example toothpaste in the original tube - is sealed in a ziplock bag, and the remaining air is extracted - sometimes even with two or three zippers. The design of the overall lid assembly of these containers makes sense. I still didn't believe these containers somehow didn't leak, so each of them was also placed in a zip-top snack bag and then all the air was sucked out of them. Two of them leaked - one with witch hazel. and one with liquid castile soap. Really liquid stuff. I didn't open and unpack the entire bag, which contained six individually wrapped ziplock containers, until I had gone through all the ups and downs en route to my final destination. must be opened very gently and carefully, preferably over a sink and not over a suitcase or clothes you will be wearing soon.
