UPDATED: This thing really is that cheaply made. Broke after three months. While the remote was great initially (see original post), it's actually very cheap. My dog's tail threw the remote from our 18 inch coffee table onto the hardwood floor and it nearly snapped in half. While I was able to snap the two halves of the console together, something came loose. inside and the remote control no longer works. The return window is only 30 days so I can't get a replacement. Sad! -------------- This remote works great! The dog destroyed the original that came with the TV so I needed a replacement. For the price it's exactly what I was looking for. Some people have mentioned that the remote lacks the bottom row of buttons compared to the original remote that came with the TV, but I don't even know what those buttons are, so they probably aren't even needed for 99.9% of people . If you need a remote control for basic functions, you're in good hands. In fact, I prefer the smaller one, which has been removed from the original in both size and weight.
