I purchased this webcam for use in a church where I wanted to be able to zoom in from the front from about 30 feet away. This webcam is excellent for this purpose. Image quality is excellent, as is the zoom lens for this price. It's important to note that this is a fully manual webcam - with adjustable zoom, aperture and focus. Each ring has an adjustment screw that allows you to adjust each setting while adjusting the other. Please note that zoom and focus may need to be adjusted relatively simultaneously in order to precisely focus on the desired frame. The lens seems tuned more for close-up than distance with focus and zoom. You can focus very well up close. Then the zoom is a bit limited when focusing, but it's still very useful. In addition to zooming and focusing, the image quality is excellent in both good light (LED panels or the sun) and low light (only overhead lights). The camera uses a standard Windows driver that allows you to easily adjust the color temperature, contrast and brightness. I was so pleased with this camera that I bought two more Zoom models.
