This rack fits perfectly in the spaced in between the wood supports. We have small wine glasses and I was worried they would slip out or sway too much. That is not happening. Fastening the rack to the top of the cupboard shelf cleared all the space below. Getting to do the finish to match the shelf make the post installation look professional - almost as if it was planned from the beginning. I thought I would hate to have do the staining and finishing coats and wait for it to dry. But it was totally worth it. The little plugs were a little difficult to fit. If I had to do over, I would apply some wax, or other grease to make them go in easier. But the snug fit means they will stay on.
