Must have a DVR!

So I had the Akaso DL9 and it was great! I've always been blinded by drivers behind me even when I raise my rearview mirror. After installing the DL9 in my truck, I was no longer blinded by the headlights and could always see what was happening behind me. When I saw AKASO release DL12 I knew I had to try it and I'm glad I did. . So they improved on the original design and fixed some of the flaws that the DL9 had. First of all the DL12 is HUGE, when I first saw it I thought it would somehow not fit in my car but of course it fits well and looks great. The extra room allows you to see finer details that you might see on the DL9. The biggest thing I liked about the DL12 is that you can now view the front and rear cameras simultaneously, which might not seem like such a big deal, but I've always switched between screens on the DL9 to make sure the front camera was present the best possible view. . DL12 also got rid of the stupid retractable camera that the DL9 had, the DL9 had a mirror and that camera popped out the side, I understood why they had to do that but it still looked stupid since the DL12 now so much has The camera is built right into the body. Now let's talk about the quality, so the rear camera is the same 1080P camera as in the DL9, but the dashcam can record 2K videos. During the day the quality is noticeable, but at night it is significantly better than the DL9, which can assist in capturing license plates or vehicle parts in the event of a hit-and-run. GPS: So this dash cam has a GPS module that can be plugged into the windshield or anywhere in your car as it has a cable that is about 6 feet long. The GPS gets blocked almost immediately and I fixed 8 GPS satellites within 1 minute. It even tells you how accurate the GPS signal is, which is nice. You may be wondering why you need GPS in your dashcam? Well, the most important reason is evidence! I've often heard law enforcement stopping people and claiming that the person was speeding when they weren't. Thanks to the GPS module, all your trips are logged with location data as well as the speed at which you drove. Now for the cons: It's a huge deal, but didn't I just say it's good? However, being a lot bigger and a bit heavier which in some cases, like mine, the dash cam is too heavy and keeps sagging in my rear view mirror, I had to use double sided tape and zip ties to route the cables from the dash cam it supports to my mirror to keep it from sagging. Overall I'm very happy with my DL12 and think it's a great dash cam for anyone looking for one.
