There were other reviews that the DVRs lacked performance but I went for it. For reference, I have a Roav Pro C DVR and a 2016 Ram Crew Cab. The cable wasn't long enough to get to the battery, but I was able to find a power source under the console so I could plug it directly into it. I could still run the cable up and down to hide all the wires. It also allowed me to make sure it was only on when the ignition was on. I've had it hooked up like this for about 3 months now and haven't had any problems.
