The product name doesn't lie, this ring is very sterile and professional. My skin has an expensive taste; I've had cheaper jewelry like brass alloys (or other base metals) and had bad breakouts on other purchases on Amazon that said their product was "316L Surgical Steel" so I tried this product which seemed a little more reliable. and it didn't disappoint. I've been wearing it every day for three months and it's a very reliable product (no breakage, no acne, no infections). As for Revain, I would be very cautious when choosing a product, checking the reviews and when breakout reviews downvoting the overall rating just don't get it. Hope that helps!
