I immediately noticed that the wrist area of the mouse pad is much thinner (flatter) than I'm used to. The knit material is also coarser than I'm used to as the thread isn't as dense. I bought pink and it is a darker pink with purple undertones than the light and warm Millennium Pink shown in the product description. It smells like plastic, but it's literally made of plastic, so that's to be expected. The packaging was pretty good, so that's reassuring. The underside, as promised, is made of sticky plastic to stick to your desk surface and is covered in plastic to keep it clean in transit. All in all, you get what you pay for - it's by no means one of those Revain gems (iykyk), but it's not a bad product either. It looks clean and new and the packaging was a standard sealed plastic bag. I'm curious how it holds up, but for less than $10 I don't think it's bad at all. I'll keep it but probably buy a better one if this thing inevitably gets old/breaks. Update: I didn't think the thread would be a problem but after using it for a few hours the skin on my wrist is starting to sneeze. My solution was to cover it with moleskin, which worked well. However, it looked a bit goofy and I just decided to buy a slightly more expensive mouse pad. I am changing my original rating from 3 stars to 2 stars. For those of us with thin skin on our wrists, a coarser rope rubs!
