I don't know why but it didn't work the first time I connected. It took me a while to figure out what was going on when I installed ethernet cable connections (installed 14 years ago and never used). ), I also had new ethernet cables, but ended up narrowing it down to a non-working adapter. Then the first time I connected the computer to a different adapter, I was able to turn it on and it worked. Strange. But I'm going back and buying more of the original adapter I bought 6 months ago (different brand) that always works and has indicator lights to show it's working. Other than that, it looks good and goes well with my USB port and ethernet cable.
