Review on πŸ“· JOBY GorillaPod 5K Stand: Premium Flexible Tripod for Pro-Grade DSLR Cameras or Devices up to 5K (11lbs). Black/Charcoal - A Comprehensive Review by Ryan Fitch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Disintegrated under the weight of my Canon 70D Useless.

For $100 you don't get what you pay for. It is said to be the strongest and most durable flexible module ever. Well, after a few uses, I noticed that the legs are already worn out and are 50% stronger than new ones. At this point I was using a lighter camera and initially set the Gorillapod up on my desk (not outdoors or in extreme conditions). I recently bought a Canon 70d and this item is now unusable. Gorillapod falls under Canon's weight. This item has been sold and listed as suitable for cameras such as the Canon 70d. There is nothing special about this item, it is the same concept as any $10 flexible tripod but with a stronger attachment point for your camera. The problem is that this isn't a reliable tripod for things weighing more than a few pounds. It will collapse in a few minutes.
