Some have to lift their Kivik because it is so low to the ground. I had to pick it up so I could clean the dust rabbits off the pet hair underneath - it's on a wooden floor. I've looked at every blog/hacker post on how others have raised it, but their solutions have included drilling holes and buying new (expensive) legs, or using upside down bed risers to sink the existing Kivik legs, what might work for a sofa. to the wall, but one side L of my section does not abut the wall. These bed risers were a simple and economical solution. Not counting the time to clean the floor, I spent about half an hour disassembling the section and fitting these risers under the existing Kivik legs (it took some time to feel as the Kivik legs only slightly smaller than the hole above), and again we collect it. The only downside is that the Kivik's legs are slightly higher than the riser opening. So if you look from a distance where the legs meet the body you can tell that the section is above the risers and the risers look like they are part of the section. But I doubt anyone else will notice (my husband doesn't) unless I point it out to them.
