These shoes are exactly as described. The sock was not too tight and did not rub on the foot. I see if you had wider feet it would do that though. (Or swollen legs). It's not a particularly comfortable shoe if you're on your feet all day, but for a wedding and reception my feet were fine. (I took them off about halfway through my appointment) I recommend these shoes for being water and stain resistant! I wore them to an outdoor wedding. Track on wet grass, puddles, MUR MUD MUD! I thought they would be destroyed. In the morning I examined them and not a speck, not a speck! No discoloration! It's like I never wore them! I am very happy with my purchase.
