Superb microphone quality at an unreasonable price

The mic quality on this thing is pretty good. Probably better than anything you can get on a gaming headset. However, the addition of a second cable coming from your headphones really annoys me. The clips that came with the kit weren't big enough to support my periaptic cable for my 660s and I found the cable control headache was something I just didn't want to live with. So I'll continue to use a desktop mic, but for those who don't mind cables this could be a great option. The processing quality is okay. I think the plastic is fine, and I found the mic's gooseneck too stiff for the type of mount the mic uses. Every time I put the mic to my mouth it popped out of the magnet. I also hate the setup in terms of mic pickup. The mic only adjusts at nearly 90-degree intervals, making it nearly impossible to rotate it on the magnetic mount, if you've installed it incorrectly you'll either flip it past your mouth or point it practically downwards. The mic mute worked as advertised and the USB DAC used is obviously pretty good as the quality of the mic is excellent. My biggest complaint, however, is the price. The price is incomprehensible to me. I also have a Samson Meteor microphone. The Meteor mic retails at $70 and can be found for around $50. When I look at how good this thing is (all metal) and the better quality you get from it, I wonder why you think what can cost so much cheap built in microphone for headphones? Not just this model, the entire line is overpriced. What is a wireless microphone mod? 120 dollars? We are literally talking about the blue yeti, at2020 or samson g track per money. There is no way anyone should buy it instead of one of the mics I have listed. Overall, the product itself keeps what it promises. You get excellent microphone quality with each pair of headphones. However, the fuzzy construction and design quirks and price really hold this thing back and make it hard to justify compared to other USB mic options. Maybe I can recommend it to others if they can lower the price. In the meantime, grab the meteor mic, you won't regret it.
