I don't know who gave these knives five stars but I suspect paid reviewers, This knife has three stars at best definitely NOT Damascus steel. The word DAMASCUS must be removed from all descriptions of this knife. "Damascus" is a sticker on the blade, it's not even laser engraved. On the plus side it's a nice knife but we've only had it a few days, I'll review it in a year. sharp knife and seems to stay sharp. it has excellent weight and balance (paring knife). Advertisements and reviews praise the knife more than it deserves.
