Review on πŸ¦‹ RESTCLOUD Butterfly Habitat Terrarium - Perfect for Insect Enthusiasts by Larry Morris

I never knew how much I needed it

I was using a mesh laundry bag to protect my Monarch caterpillars and then a friend told me these zippered mesh habitats are a thing! When it arrived I already had six caterpillars in my laundry bag. It is great! One side is clear so you can see the caterpillars pretty well. It turned out to be a lot taller and wider than I thought it would be. There's more than enough room for six lanes. A pot of euphorbia fits easily - maybe two. Front flap closes tightly so there is no gap between zippers (two zippers converge at center front). It attaches to the side, not the top, so you don't disturb the dolls if all your "cats" haven't "gone in the J" yet. This one is outside next to the milkweed plants and I had to put a rock in the ground to keep it stable (quite common as it's light weight and can be folded up in winter). Cleaning the floor can be a bit tricky as there is a rock and some dolls hanging at the top. Even with paper towels. But there really isn't much to do if one or two caterpillars are ready to pupate while others are still feeding. I'm so glad I bought this. The caterpillars are "protected" from predators and I can take care of them. I've heard that the black mesh makes it easier to see the caterpillars, but with the clear side I had no problem seeing them. It's a great item and the price is right!
