I dabbled with 240Hz G-Sync compatible monitors for a while before settling on the Alienware 25. Why did I really buy it through Revain for their returns process? Aside from a few tweaks, it was ready to use right out of the box. I mainly play Battlefield games, BF5 runs at around 160/170 in game with RTX 2070 Super and 10700K. It takes a while to get used to the old 75Hz Acer, but after a few sessions I can't imagine playing anything else. It's big, I have enough space on my desk, which I was worried about, but it works. It does dissipate a bit of heat, but I suspect that's due to the unique cooling and vents throughout. Oh.Dell's 3-year premium replacement warranty was the icing on the cake, even for a single defective pixel - you just have to transfer ownership to yourself if you're buying through Amazon - google it, pretty easy.
