Almost a great umbrella but needs work. First of all, I liked the versatility of this beach support and tripod umbrella. However, I found that the screw base didn't work on a sandy beach and the threads were too small. They don't stick to the sand. The umbrella just falls over. So we basically bought this for the beach and it didn't work. We were forced to use a tripod which was quite difficult in the soft sand. We had to weigh down the umbrella with heavy bags attached to hooks. Couldn't handle light wind. So we belayed it pretty well and low and lo and behold the tip of the chute flew off and hit someone on the beach! Had nothing to do with how we secured it. Rather, it broke right out of the bar as the latch on the bar wasn't very tight. Light wind, don't go. I think if they improve the sand anchor and pole locks this could be a great umbrella.
