I was dying to have an umbrella and am completely satisfied with the quality and ease of use of this umbrella. I'm a mosaic artist working outdoors in hot Arizona and this umbrella has literally allowed me to work longer. It was easy to assemble. Very very light and easy to move. We don't have much wind so it's perfect for me. You can most likely weight down the base if you need to. Coasters and hooks are very handy for water and towels. The concept is good and I really wanted it to be great for ball games. However, the first time I opened it to use it broke. At the base of the stand I'm not sure if all the rivets were wrong or what happened but they came out when it was opened. As a result, the stand would not stand on 3 legs at all. Almost a great umbrella but needs work. First of all, I liked the versatility of this beach support and tripod umbrella. However, I found that the screw base didn't work on a sandy beach and the threads were too small. They don't stick to the sand. The umbrella just falls over. So we basically bought this for the beach and it didn't work. We were forced to use a tripod which was quite difficult in the soft sand. I bought this to use at soccer games in the summer and love how easy it is to put on and take off. I've used both a tripod stand and a worm screw, and both hold up well after repeated use on the soccer field (and after being thrown in the back of my car). I think next time I'll pay more attention to the dimensions of the umbrella, because it's quite small and only offers enough protection when the sun is high in the sky. and is still in great shape. I bought it for use at home, on the terrace and in the garden. I know it's a portable model to take to parks, events, the beach, etc. but for me at home it's perfect.
