First order your size based on your waist measurement, not your desired belt length. Different sellers do things differently. I ordered the length I wanted the first time (3XL) and they were 6 inches too long. I contacted the supplier and they took care of me without any problems. I sent them back and they sent me the right ones. Aim for a 38-40 inch waist depending on how the pants are made. The right belt size for me is XL. I bought navy blue and gray at the same time. The blue is an inch longer than the grey. Because of this, an inch of gray is almost too short. I can understand some differences in length due to the nature of the material, but the difference in inches seems too big. Years old and still holding up well except for a blue one that had the buckle cover falling apart. They are a bit wider than my others and need a little more care when putting them on and taking them off to avoid snagging in the belt loops. Pair any of these with flexible-waist pants and you'll be comfortable all day if you've got an idle belly like me that gives girdles a chance to make their money.
