I've had a number of failed attempts to find great headphones. Hour and too heavy to transport, bad case. PX-7 is so upset by this that everyone shows up and doesn't leave. The soundstage is so muffled I couldn't stand it. I'm still bitter that I sold my PX for it. Beats Solo Pro, good sound but a bit too harsh on the ears and the click to fast forward the song is insanely loud. I also had problems with Skype. The PXC 550 loved them but didn't work with Skype or call commands at work which killed it. AirPod Pros, okay, but one ear canal didn't close, so they were useless to me. Sony, whatever it is, sounding too artificial, did not like the pressure and comfortable, but comfortable. I'm sure I got bored with the Amazons but these are the Keepers, a great all round headset. Good sound, nice noise, good wearing comfort, good case and they really sit on the neck, don't choke you (I'll tell you px7). They're light, which can lead to people complaining that they feel cheap, but it's just like the Sony and Bose, the plastic is nice and light. The app scores well with age-adapting the sound, the same goes for the interior lighting, once you get used to it it's very useful. Everything I put into it from Public Enemy to Bright Eyes is amazing. The only things I give up are the physical volume and fast forward/repeat controls, but they are responsive and seem to work well. They don't beep, click or say "louder louder" every time you change it, which drives me nuts. I would caution that in my opinion they are not for bass players, they produce a fairly bright soundstage which I love, but the bass is tight and refined rather than loose and overwhelming. They're not as strong in ANC as Sony's either, but they just struck me as weird, needing to block the booth next to me rather than removing all of the sound from the universe and then playing it back as some sort of noise-cancelling musical Curiosity. This is my first pair of Beyerdynamics but I love them. I highly recommend them if you're tired of spending $400 and still making too many compromises. A discount of up to $300 seems perfect for my priorities: great sound, good noise cancellation, all-day comfort, functionality at work, and small packages. Excellent work.
